MyAmiiboNews is back — with a different job

If you landed here from an old link: yes, this is the same MyAmiiboNews. In 2015 this site was a WordPress blog cataloguing the great amiibo shortage — leaked internal Target memos about Rosalina restocks, Meta Knight selling out at Best Buy in minutes, Gold Mario turning up as a Walmart exclusive, 3-for-$33 deals at a store called Toys “R” Us that no longer exists. The old posts are gone, and old article links now land on this page.

A decade later the problem inverted. Nintendo mostly fixed retail supply, then quietly discontinued the majority of the back catalog. The scramble isn't at the shelf anymore — it's on eBay, Mercari and Vinted, where the same figure can be listed at three wildly different prices in the same hour, and the good listing is gone before your saved search email arrives.

So the reboot is a radar, not a blog

Amiibo news as a genre is well covered, and the databases are well covered too — amiibo.life does collection tracking better than a new site ever would. What nobody does well is the buying moment: knowing that a new-in-box Rosalina just hit a marketplace 20% under the going rate, within minutes, across sites, without you refreshing anything.
